Momentum - Whetting Occam´s Razor LP

Momentum formed in 2011, featuring members of LIGHT BEARER, FALL OF EFRAFA, PLAGUE MASS and XZieglerX, playing driving, epic heavy and melodic DIY hardcore punk, both crushing and uplifting, ignoring sub-genres and getting back to the basics of why we love playing fast political music. Influenced by the words of Carl Sagan, and other luminary thinkers, the music forms around a set idea, that of our place in the universe, the hatred and anger and stupidity of a species of ape, on a small insignificant planet, but also our ability to look beyond these facile ideas and appreciate and begin to understand the awe of the universe. with guestvocals from TRIAL, MONACHUS and PROTESTANT/HALO OF FLIES RECORDS! Deluxe pressing with 180 gram deluxe vinyl, heavy cover, A2 poster and huge 8 page booklet!

Price € 9

Fall Of Efrafa - Inle 2xLP

The long awaited final chapter of "The Warren Of Snares" trilogy, FALL OF EFRAFA conclude their mythological tale of an uprising against an oppressive system, based upon an interpretation of the classic novel "Watership Down" by Richard Adams. "Inle" is crushing yet beautiful, ambient and atmospheric heavey post hardcore, bringing to mind the likes of Neurosis, Buried Inside, Envy, Earth And Godspeed you black emperor.

Price € 15

Alpinist - Minus.Mensch LP

REPRESSED on 180 gram Vinyl and with a blue cover!!!! After their Demo and their Split LP with Finisterre, this is the third release by this outstanding band from Münster / Germany. These four young people have played countless shows in europe the last two years and should be well known for all those into contemporary melodic HC/Crust. Definetly one of the best bands in this genre coming from germany at the moment. I expeceted a lot from their new recordings, but what they deliver here exceeded all expectations. An almost fourty minutes thunderstorm in 11 acts, paired with a voice of dispair and accompanied by blistering melodies.

Bacchus - S/T LP

The Repress to the Bacchus - S/T LP is the forth pressing of this fantastic record, this time on green transparent vinyl co-produce with Contrazst! Rec (Germany) copies on Black still available.
"Housed in a gorgeously hefty production, the long-awaited debut LP from Ireland’s Bacchus is a tense and hulking assault of millenium-era crust. With Elements of From Ashes Rise and Kylesa forming a raging, spiralling monument of caustic desperation, this is never reductive. Refusing to take the easy option and revelling in a staunchy progressive approach to hardcore, this is like Neurosis raised on amphetamine and tempered with weed: excellent. Mastered by JJ Golden, amazing artwork by Glyn Scrawled"...the LP comes on heavy 180g Vinyl in a thick cardboard cover and a download code.

Appalachian Terror Unit are a West Virginia anarcho punk band who create music that gives a voice to the downpressed humans worldwide. ATU's newest release Black Sands will not disappoint – 4 songs that clock in over 13 minutes, packed with awesome metallic riffs and lyrics that bring home issues we all should have on our minds. What’s so on point about this band is that they are the total fucking package; not only do they incite change on the lyrical tip, but the music they lay down is so epic. Repressed as 180 Gramm Deluxe Version and with heavy cover! Fucking hell, this is one of the best records I got my hands on lately! Hard hitting, yet melodic and epic crusty HCpunk with a Cello and throaty vocal style from Brighton UK. They really know how to create a desperate and aggressive athmosphere at the same time. This band delivers their music with a lot of variation in speed which makes the songs memorable and entertaining which is hardly the case nowadays. Lyrix based upon the book "Watership Down" - Awesome!

Dis-consin's (Wisconsin's) defenders of d-beat crust are back with a new 7" titled "Extinguish The Cross". This record captures Dresden at their best. They offer up two epic ragers that pound with crushing intensity and shredding guitar solos. Their lyrics attack hypocricy and the KKK. Recorded by Tom Tom Burt (In Defence/Garmonbozia) and mastered by Brad Boatright (From Ashes Rise). Amazing artwork by Jeremy Clark (aka HUSH). Grab your copy before it's gone!

Counterblast - Nothingness 2xLP

FInally a new full length by this swedish slow dark crust heroes! Monumental crust from Sweden with a very unique style that blends elements of crust, metal and somewhat ambient, eerie and tribal sounding music together. Unkind - Yhteiskunnan Pikkuvikoja LP + CD

this is fucking great. an amazing and totally bleak and definitely their best record so far from this finnish band, combining a more muted and moody take on DISFEAR-style rocked out guitar riffs, savagely shouted vocals ala VICTIMS, and then the dark and epic scope of NEUROSIS (and their slower, low end lumbering) , TRAGEDY (mood carrying guitar riffs and solos) ARTIMUS PYLE (bursting from all of that into wicked thrash) and their ilk. The Recording is crazy serious and megalithic, allowing the weight of the riffs to be literally oppressive and powerful then just clearing enough space for the band to blast fast thrashier parts. top knotch musician ship, the mood of the whole affair somber as it can get, and while this metallic influenced crust style is seems at times almost completely currently dismissed stateside / locally, if you like any of the five bands I just mentioned, buy this immediately. AWESOME. LP includes the CD and comes in a 350g Cover, 280g printed innersleeves, 180g Vinyl

Agnosy – Past The Point Of No Return LP

You can hear they tuned down their instruments and progressed in songwriting department whitout losing any intensity of their old band's trademark dark and melodic metallic riffs. Six songs of hard driven and thick sounding epic crust (NOT to be confused with so called neo-crust) clocking in at 28 minutes. Mandatory "ex-members of..." list includes also GIVE UP ALL HOPE, DOOM, HIATUS, WHOLE IN THE HEAD and many more... Civil Victim are from Germany but sound influenced by American hardcore with some Scandinavian stuff to put some weight to their punch. I hear some Poison Idea in here, but it’s not some by-the-numbers type shit. Their music is beefy hardcore punk that has catchy and tuneful elements side by side with a dark and gritty edge. Songs like “Sorry for Being Broke,” “Personal Riot,” and “Workmares” blaze by in a white-knuckled flash, then you get a song like “Room Full of Christians” that switches back and forth between mid tempo and full on thrash. The vocalist has a shredded throat style; at times he sounds like Dez Cadena. Check out the title track, where his voice has a little more space instead of being buried under a roaring guitar. “Where’s the Healing?” is my favorite of the twelve songs on here. Starts off with a hellish bang then attacks religion (a target always deserving of ire). The song has a little more noise going on and may be a little darker

War//Plague - Smolder 7"
Heavy atmosferic crust from Mineapolis ex Provoked, Flux of Disorder, Calloused, Path of Destruction etc
Price € 3.50

Four new songs with the new and improved Imperial Leather line-up, playing their hallmark style of rip-roaring punk rock'n'roll that's catchy as all hell. If you are still not enlightened, IMPERIAL LEATHER are ex-members of such legendary bands like NO SECURITY, DS-13, etc. with Amyl of the infamous NYC all female oputfit SPIDER CUNTS on lead vocals and in your face attitude. The have just completed their thrid US tour, during which this EP was released, and are now jetting back to Sweden, fired up for the next release and another round of adventures.

Two intense hardcore crust bands from Stockholm, Sweden team up for a powerhouse new split album. MASSMORD have current/former members of such bands as DEUNGA, ARTICLE NINE, BEYOND PINK and VBIG 5 and have previously released two albums and have eseblished a reputation for delivering high quality, down-tuned hardcore punk (they have been compared to

PYROKLAST / WARTORN split LP
The Last Line of Defense is a split LP between two of Wisconsin's most noteworthy hardcore / crust bands of today - released just in time for the bands' joint 2010 East Coast tour. Appleton's WARTORN fill their side with two lengthy virtuosos of monstrous crust power, while Madison's PYROKLAST (ex-DISCIDER) level all left standing with six mad blasts of hardcore thrash. Hush (aka Jeremy Clark) contributes awesome new art for both the front and back covers, with a characteristically apocalyptic perspective that perfectly suite this album's title.

Burnt Cross - Break The Law Not The Poor 7"
The brothers Marriot show no let up in their output as yet another explosive blast of full-blooded anarcho-punk is committed to vinyl. This time round, they're busy calling out murdering bastard cops for the scum they are and suggesting a suitable riposte with their stripped-down and powered-up reworking of The Apostles' 'Mob Violence', a venom-filled verbal assault on the rich and their lackey police (and which, along with Conflict's 'The Ungovernable Force', rates as my all-time joint-favourite punk rock song). Rob combines metal-edged fuck-off guitar and bare-knuckle bass with a cleverly-programmed drum machine to produce music that's steeped in the legacy of the Crass bands without sounding in the least bit hackneyed, while Paul spits out the vocals with a ferocity that's well-matched to the lyrics.

It's all wrapped up in a heavy card sleeve sporting a suitably combative red 'n' black (with a bit of white) graphic on the front, a lyric sheet inside, and a label that's one of the smartest I've seen in quite a while.
Price €3.50

The Swedish gods of crust break three years of silence to unleash a new masterpiece of epic proportions. Twelve brutal new songs that layer new realms of gutteral intensity to the traditional Swedish d-beat KÄNG of the likes of TÖTALITAR, KRIGSHOT, WOLFBRIGADE, etc. And of course there is plenty of the traditional WARCOLLAPSE sound that emphasizes mournful dirges, captivating guitar leads, and vocal style that is as primal as it is guttteral. If you are a fan of their previoues releases then this will certainly not disappoint - delivering all the goods than made WARCOLLAPSE a name among legends. Their previous titles include the Crust As Fuck Existence CD on Distortion Records, Divine Intoxications LP/CD on Mind Control, split EP's with DISRUPT and EXTINCTION OF MANKIND and a number of other EP's, a live 10" and video, plus several compilation tracks. In addition to releasing this new record, WARCOLLAPSE are also planning to tour outside of Sweden for the first time in years.
Price € 8

LAST LEGION ALIVE from Belgium plays heavy stenching crust with female vocals that have its roots in the legacy of Axegrinder and Deviated Instinct. Members of Silence Means Death and Link. HELLSTORM from Greece plays the finest metallic d-beat crust with some rough vocals.
Price € 8

Their sound is almost impossible to describe, as it does not fit neatly into any predefined genre or pigeon hole. Instead they draw elements from every great form of heavy music, including metal, punk, crust, and hardcore. The result is ultimately discursive, heavy, uniquely original and totally epic, loaded with intensity, passion, and excellent musicianship. The two songs on this record are no exception. To me it feels like maybe they were listening to a bit more black metal when they wrote these, but maybe not. They also incorporate a viola for an extra layer of epic atmosphere. The lyrics are, as always, intelligent, insightful, poetic, contemplative, introspective, and a bit confusing. The cover art is as bleak and epic as the music, with a barren, desolate, foggy, hopeless looking photo of a decaying, partially deforested landscape. This 7” is a European tour release, limited to 500 copies, pressed on grey/brown marbled vinyl, so get this while you can. Another great release by this innovative band.
Price € 3.50

They throw lots of influence in their music, the flow and the groove of rockn’roll in their music. When the d-beat mixed with stoner/rock riff on the guitar parts make this bands more creative. The solo part all perfect and the low sludgy bass part are brilliant!! Few years ago DISFEAR – Live The Storm LP has prove to the world that punk rock is not only 3 chord things. The punks also can rock the world! Now its time for CRY HAVOC take over! If you big fans of 2 last records from DISFEAR, CRY HAVOC don’t let you down. SOUTHERN LORD and RELAPSE will fight hard to get this band under their radar if they found this records. 10 tracks, recorded in 1in12 Studio and mastered by Bri (DOOM). Comes in gatefold jacket and poster.

Right out of the gates this is a god damned punk rock tour-de-fucking force! Bill and company do an excellent job of crisscrossing punk rock sub-genres by taking the catchy, sing along, anthems of 80's hardcore, down tuning them and adding a bit of crust-punk grittiness. Much like Bill's earlier projects (TOXIC NARCOTIC and MOUTH SEWN SHUT) OPPOSITION RISING will surely find an audience with hardcore kids, thrashers, crust punk warriors and even the street punks.

Discharge - Realities of War 7"
The Classic first 7" from Discharge circa 1980. A monumental record that helped jumpstart the hardcore movement around the world. This is one of a handful of records from 1980 that pushed 70's punk into the bleak era of the 1980's hardcore scene. Discharge set the standard with their raw and uncompromising visual style and unbridled hardcore punk music.
Price € 3.50

Discharge - Fight Back 7"
Five song blast of pure anger and energy, Dishcarge is at their finest here. Pure be beat raw punk against which all the successors can be measured. This hard driving music is the perfect vehicle for the outrage at war and oppression conveyed by the harsh lyrics and graphics.
Price € 3.50

Discharge - Decontrol 7"
Classic three song rager from 1980. Less than a year removed from "realities of war" the sound is already faster and more aggressive, leaving 70's punk behind and blazing into pure hardcore raw punk. This record has three of Discharge's best songs which are just pure blasts of raw anger and urgency. Hardcore punk at it's best.
Price € 3.50

Discharge - State Violence, State Control 7"
Discharge's fifth 7", from 1982. The sound is a bit less raw and there is a tiny bit of the metal influence starting to show. The energy and power of Hear Nothing See Nothing Say Nothing are starting to manifest on these tracks.
Price € 3.50

Discharge - Never Again 7"
It's 1981, the cold war rages, threatening to turn hot at any moment as Reagan, Thatcher and Brezhnev seem poised to destroy the world in a descent to nuclear madness. Using cover art appropriated from 1930's anti fascist agit-prop Discharge links the bleak reality of Thatcher's Britain with the descent to totalitarian oppression and war of an earlier generation. A bit more polished than the first three EPs and the Why? 12", Never Again delivers three blasts of hardcore punk

Putrefaction - Blood Cult LP

Ireland's Putrefaction come forth with their vinyl debut 'Blood Cult LP', After years of steady gigging Putrefaction arise from the depths to unleash the follow up to their 'Destroyers' demo released way back in 2007, unleashing a full length LP of absolute 'Mad Max' styling crust. Putrefaction barrel down upon you like a crushing ton weight of noise that can only be compared to that of a post apocalyptic crust world, that trundles through the ashes. Gurgling vocals that yield behind a metallic sound of gear changing guitars and galloping D-beating war drums. For fans of Skitsystem, Repulsion, Hellshock and Death Strike. LP mastered by Enormous Door Recordings

Price €9.00

DEAD IN THE WOODS - The Sign of the Son of Man LP

The debut LP by Nottingham heavy boys Dead In The Woods, Describing themselves as “His Hero Is Hawkwind” DITW layered their seriously heavy riffageddon with snarling vocals and some rather nice theremin abuse. It’s like early Baroness have commandeered a Martian flying saucer and are scorching the earth with lethal death rays. The band have recently split but the majority of them can now be found in new band Nadir whose recent gigs have seen them showcasing a style that sounds like a sludgecore take on Japanese psych legends Les Rallizes Denudes’ blown out legacy (yes really!)

Price € 9.00

Disguise - Demo Tape

Japanese hardcore noise in their first of hopefully many releases.

Price € 4.00

Enth / Amarok split LP

A massive doom assault, ENTH from Poland play kind of funeral doom metal with a strong Corrupted influence. Perhaps it's because of the piano parts that they add to their song. AMAROK from the California (US) mix Khanate drone doom style with a great modern doom touch in the way of Thou and Cough. With a great dual vocals.

NEGATIVE STANDARDS - I-V 10"

Epic and masterful dark hardcore from Oakland, NEGATIVE STANDARDS take politics into the future of hardcore without turning their back on the brilliant personal-is-political crust of the '90s. Throw in a touch of German metallic hardcore, and don't forget samples and electronics to shroud the whole thing in mystery. Half of ACTS OF SEDITION are in this band, if that matters to you (it should), and the band members contribute as much as they create...worth your time in so many ways. The whole thing is packaged with photos and a big ass, impossible to file, black envelope, and it all looks fukkn bad ass, which takes the '90s thing over the deep end in the best way possible.

DAZD S/T LP

“Killer apocalyptic hardcore from Serbia! This band is pretty wild; they bring together weird occult themes and imagery, their album art full of esoteric sigils, woodcut artwork, and surreal paintings from Jason Barnett, the lyrics exploring themes of anarchism, paganism, and earth magick, while the music is a mix of grim post-punk dirges a la Amebix/Killing Joke, psychedelia, and violent hardcore rituals, and also list Japanese maniacs GISM and cult Swiss metallers Hellhammer as influences. At first, Dazd start things off with a wasted doomed crawl, the opening track all stomping old school doom metal in the vein of Pentagram and Sabbath, heavy bluesy riffing creeping over reverb-drenched drums while screams echo in the distance; but the second track sets the tone for the rest of the album, beginning as a gloomy instrumental hardcore dirge, heavy winding bass and skronky, Ginn-esque guitar matched with droning riffs and spacey synthesizers, eventually starting to sound like a faster, more feral version of Amebix. From there, the album travels through fast hardcore punk fronted by snarling slobbering screams and delirious chanting, stretches of electronic noise and droning synths and Hawkwindian space fx, pounding metallic sludge, galloping old school metal, d-beat driven thrash, finally arriving at the wailing tribal punk dirge of “Duboko Duboko” where the band digs into another Killing Joke-esque jam with Hammond organs and emotional weeping vocals. Strange and unpredictable occult hardcore bound in amazing surreal imagery - Dazd are highly recommended for fans of brutal left-field HC.”

Cloud Rat - Moksha LP

Cloud Rat just bleed emotion in all its beautiful/ugly forms, delivered in the most chaotic of fashion. The Michigan grindcore trio are a band that have an invigorating mean streak in them with each release. Their self-titled LP expelled a heart-on-your-sleeve ferocity that’s nearly unparalleled. It stems from the myriad influences that have been soaked up by their grindcore heart, most intriguingly the screamo and melodic hardcore strains that have become an integral part of the band’s sound. Listen to a track like ‘Dwell’ from the self-titled for overwhelming evidence, whether it’s in Madison Marshall’s impassioned wails, the buzzsaw guitars that are utterly piercing or the unrelenting blasts that never give up for a second. It’s a pattern that is repeated throughout the record and its subsequent releases, particularly last year’s split LP with Republic of Dreams, where you really felt like Cloud Rat had taken a really dramatic step in their growth as a band.

Light Bearer / Northless Split LP

LIGHT BAERER features Alex from FALL OF EFRAFA on vocals and people from the old english hardcore band DUNGEONS! LIGHT BEARER is a concept band from the south east of England. Bringing together long standing friends and new allies in an attempt to create a musical project, mixing their love of ambient post rock, post metal, beats, noise and experimental soundscapes. The concept itself borrows from The His Dark Materials trilogy by Philip Pullman, Paradise Lost by John Milton and The Divine Comedy by Dante Alighieri For Fans of Envy, Sigur Ros, Aphex Twin, Mouth Of The Architect, 65 Days Of Static, Neurosis!
NORTHLESS Since I've been running this label there's been very few times in my life that I've been witness to such a crushing sludge metal band. Northless blew my mind the first time I listend them as a four-piece. With this Split the band's intensity is captured on record, at long last. Since adding two additional members to the lineup (the band started as guitar/drum duo) Northless has expanded on their original style of atmospheric sludgy metal and gone beyond the barrier that holds lesser bands back. This progression enabled Northless to break through into new territory and write truly exceptional songs, more focused, more dense. This Split might be one of the most misanthropic, angst-filled albums I've ever heard, but it never fails to instill a feeling of hope in the listener. A hope that a band can draw upon familiar influences and personal experiences, draw on them and combine them to create something that breaks the mold of slow & heavy music.

LIGHTBEARER - SILVER TONGUE CD

Light Bearer are not stuck in any one strict heavy music genre, but open to everything. What i mean by that is there is no formulaic style to the songs on this album. But to try to give an idea of where they are coming from i'd draw comparisons to unconventional post metal/hardcore bands like Isis, Red Sparowes or Amenra. The two years of development of 'Silver Tongue' has brought interrelated and interwoven changes which seamlessly merge with it's narrative. Would it be ok to use a word like 'beautiful' with such aggressive heavy music? With a personality and style well and truly all their own. The cello goes very deep on 'Matriarch', a dark slow passage accompanied by very sorrowful singing. Which leads into a crow like vocal sound on the opening of 'Clarus', but switches to a church like hymn. These passages lead nicely into a more confrontational 'Aggressor & Usurper' which has a real decent ascent and descent throughout. Like an orchestral piece this song has changes which go from a macabre sounding piano and violin. Then to real all out frenzied coarse type hardcore. The final Track 'Silver Tongue' starts in a completely different manner. It could even be radio friendly in the very beginning. But like a symphony it has changes from a very layered slow pulsating heavy hardcore rhythm to an ambiane with orchestral like percussion. Light Bearer have now set a high standard other bands will have to struggle to match.

MOMENTUM - WHETTING OCCAM´S RAZOR CD

CD comes with a poster and 8 page booklet!
