| Kill Bill was also muck though. Old Boy is essentially a revenge film but it fairly nailed the prize for the absolute best 'no, no, no, no, no, no, no!' moment of plot realisation in a movie ever. |

Yeah!
La Haine is great. Anyone ever seen The Idiots? About a bunch of people who act out and in essence are pretending to be mentally retarded, with some interesting reactions from the public (in the film that is). Pretty close to the bone. |

Cloverfield was dogshit IMO. Hyped and oddly received good reviews from sources I usually trust but it was balls. 30 Days Of Night is much better; still not brilliant, but much better than Cloverfield. Dog Soliders was the last really good one I saw in that Night Of The Living Dead style.
In terms of under the radar, Hard Candy was out a few years back but I found it excellent and a very uncomfortable watch; yer doll Ellen Page seems to be spot on whatever she's in. A History Of Violence was great too, provided you can stomach a square on view of Viggo Mortensen's arse.
No Country For Old Men is good but I think I'd need to watch it again. Javier Bardem is brilliant though. |

'Hard Candy' is excellent, very unnerving.
A contentious one: 'The Blair Witch Project'. |

I see someone bet me to Hard Candy. Ellen Page is incredibly talented, liked her in Juno too.
I'd recommend just about anything by the Cohen brothers, The Big Lebowski, Fargo, Barton Fink, and No Country... are all great films.
Another one that many might not have seen was Tim Burton's "Ed Wood". |

SAW "THERE WILL BE BLOOD" RECENTLY. GREAT FILM INDEED, DAY-LEWIS PUTS IN THE BEST ACTING PERFORMANCE EVER AND THOROUGHLY DESERVED HIS OSCAR.
PANS LABYRINTH IS A MUST SEE TOO, VISUALLY BRILLIANT, OBVIOUSLY LOTR TRILOGY BEST FILMS EVER MADE AND THE GODFATHER!
SAW DONNIE BRASCO RECENTLY AGAIN TOO WHICH ID HEARTILY RECOMMEND. |

I'm sure lots of dwarves and elves wil come out of the woodwork to disagree with me but I thought Lord of the rings were just good blockbusters ie. good in the cinema, never watch again.
I'm a big fan of the Alien and Predator films, Oldboy and Ichi are crackers too |

I enjoyed that movie myself, strange but good. I recently watched Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, and despite the reception from critics, I thought it was class! I'd definitely call it a must-see movie. Although I hadn't read the book, so maybe people who have beforehand wouldn't like it... I read that they left out significant parts of the book... |
