Has anybody checked out the new HBO show, The Newsroom?

About 4 episodes into and loving it. Jeff Daniels is a great actor.

True! I think it deserved it's own thread too!
Maybe a few seasons back.

But to be fair! It's a bit late.
There's a shit load of comments on this one about it so hardly any need to start another one up now!

Derp. That mid-season finale was the ultimate butt clench. Still clenched!

On another note, can anybody tell us if House gets any better?
Started watching it for its Sherlock Holmes influences, and the bossness of Hugh Laurie, but 4 eps into season 1 now and so far it hasnt impressed..

Massive spoiler there for anyone who hasn't caught up on the latest episode, OP or mods edit that please?

Anyone watch Hell On Wheels? Lovin it myself, into the second season now so if anyone is looking for something to fill the void left by Breaking Bad you could pick up on this.

House gets escellent, can't remember how long it took me to get into. Quick enough if I recall. Defo worth stickin with i.m.o.. The last season was disappointing except for the ending but the previous 3 or 4 seasons at least, were deadly

Every single episode of Breaking Bad so far this season has been superb.
Not even a minute of filler!

Jesus! Lad... I was harping on about this last year and it fell on deaf ears. You're the only other person I've come across that is watching it.
Great show! Definitely worth giving it a shot.

Nothing about Bohannan's past so far in the second season. It's bound to catch up with him soon enough.
And Colm Meany isn't as much of a cunt this season either. No doubt that will change.

I don't know anything about Sherlock Holmes influences but I use to watch House a few years ago when it was on Hallmark I watched it for the first four seasons and thought it was really good then I missed a few episodes of season 5 and never went back to it since I must pick up the DVDs but its worth watching.

Have season 1 and 2 on DVD got about half through season 1 but haven't had a chance to watch the rest of it yet. Great show.

Just starting season 2 man... its a deadly show, but very strange. There's no main story, no good guys v bad guys... but yet its hard to not watch!
The tunes in it arent half bad either Wink

Been watchin it since the start myself man. Quality show! I'd say give it another episode or two and the whole Bohannan's back story will start to come into it again! Plus the shit with the Sioux is really starting to kick off!
