Sounds like a good weekend of games, all of which I missed.
We have a date now with the Lillies in Croker. Not expecting a whole lot from our lads. Form has been very up and down while the league was a disaster. McEnaney has been a polarising presence and anything other than at least a Leinster title win will see to his departure. This is leaving the mental state of the players in limbo. |

Yeah fair play to Davey for being extremely gracious in his interview afterward, classy. I actually went to both primary and secondary school with John Mullane, he was always a bit of a prick, just the kind of fucker you wouldnt want sitting behind you, ya wouldnt be able to relax for a minute!
Dont mind all that once hes putting in those kind of performances for the Deise like yesterday, but yeah bad form at the end, thought hed mellowed out in the last few years.
Havent seen much of Tipp this year but surely theyd destroy both of those teams yesterday. |

Any bets on the two big hurling games?
I have Tipp to win by 4-6 @ 5/1 and the Cats by the same @ 4/1.
£10 gets you £300 on a double with PP. |

| I'm heading to portlaoise later. Hopefully the Dubs will put it up to KK today. The key will be not conceding early goals. |

| Dominant show from our lads today. Dublin were pish poor though, I think they were psychologically out of it after TJ Reid's goal. Confidence is high for a 3 in a row! |

Totally agree. I think the Keaney injury and first KK goal set them back big time as they had started well enough. Their first touch was terrible though and they didn't really adapt to the conditions. I just hope they can recover in time for the qualifiers. Amazing display by the Cats in fairness. I'm not sure too many teams would have lived with them yesterday. |

Kilkenny their unstoppable selves as always. Pity Dublin never got firing. So much for my bet.
Cork vs Tipp sounded like a great game. Some brave selections by the cork management and it almost worked. Tipp know how to finish strong but when they meet the cats they know they can't give them a lead.
Ulster game looked good too. Pictures of Marty Clarke celebrating down in Melbourne doing the rounds. |

Got 11-2 on Down when they were 4 points behind with about 10 mins to go. Very exciting 2nd half alright. |

Cork ran Tipp all the way, I wouldn't put it past them to get to the All Ireland Final this year. They have a lot of young players coming through, and with a few games in the qualifiers behind them to gel, the will be formidable.
Would like to see Waterford win in Munster but can't see past Tipp for that game. Corbett will probably start. I wonder what is going on with Eoin Kelly? You'r imagine he's an automatic starter(he is still only 30) for his free taking alone.
He was a student in my school St.Kierans in Kilkenny, he was on the school panel in his junior cert year, playing along with Shefflin. Phenomenally talented forward. |

| Dreading a repeat of last years Munster final, of all the Waterford heartbreaks over the last decade that was the one game I actually had to turn off. |

Delighted that Tipp won but I'm not getting carried away. Cork would have won with a bit more composure. They just lack a bit of experience. I can see them tearing Offaly apart in the qualifiers.
As far as I know the problem with Eoin Kelly is his back. It's supposed to be rightly goosed.
Looking forward to the Clare v Dublin game. I think that will be very close. |

| In anticipation of next weekends game between Meath and Kildare I would just like to state my strongly held suspicion that the people of Kildares affinity for horse racing is a cover for barely suppressed midget morphophilia that is rampant throughout the counties population. |
