Thanks to those that turned up to the gig and picked up any merch and to the bands of course!
Great night and a good crowd, good way to finish up with things.

Was pretty happy with how the gig went. There was a good crowd for all the bands. Every band on the bill was excellent and it just seemed to be a good mix of metal overall. Definitely one we are proud to put our names to. The only downpoint of the gig was the venue which was a bit of a joke. I like the layout of fibbers and always find it good fun but its impossible to run a gig to its full potential when people are getting in without paying. The venue costs way to much and then the management turn around and let a shit load of people in for free. I could go on but its pointless complaining at this stage. We've learnt our leason on that one.
As for the bands:
On Pain of Death: Really good band. Set the tone for the gig perfectly. The two vocals work really well together and the drummer is very entertaining to watch. Look forward to hearing more from them.
Decayor: Only got to see the last song. Heard they had a few tech problems which was unfortunate but im sure it didn't completely take away from the show. Got to see them the next night luckily where things went a bit smoother.
MorT: were excellent. Been listening to all their albums since i first seen them and was great to know the material this time. Im really fond of their simplistic approach to BM along with their stage show. Interesting that someone mentioned Sodom as i was talking to the drummer about the mask and he was saying that it was based on the cover of the 'In the sign of evil' EP. Anyway, top set, top blokes, great to have them over.
Overoth: Second time seeing them and second time i was blown away. Such a powerful live sound. It would be easy to wonder what magical gear they use but at the end of the day it all comes down to them being one hell of a tight band. Talk about a hard act to follow!!
I was happy with how we played and with the crowd. Definitely one of the more enjoyable gigs i've played and a great way to finish up with the current GOR line up. |
