Magic Circle Festival Lured to New Venue As Siren Calls All Metal Warriors

– "They can't stop us, let them try, for heavy metal come to Loreley in July!" Feeding on a steady diet of lightning bolts and thunder, MANOWAR is ready to unleash that energy on the next Magic Circle Festival! Saturday, July 18, 2009 is the date for history to be made when metal meets the myth, the magic and the legend of the Loreley. High above the most treacherous part of Germany's Rhine River, MANOWAR stands prepared to awaken the wrath of the siren with heavy metal allies HolyHell, Metalforce and others yet to be announced as well as a very special guest appearance by a legend in his own time, Germanys most famous fantasy author Wolfgang Hohlbein.

This year, the siren's voice will ring with the power of heavy metal, calling all metal warriors to join in MANOWAR's battle to keep the spirit of heavy metal alive. With festivities starting on the afternoon of July 16 MANOWAR will reward its warriors with the best Germany has to offer when it comes to beauty, romance, danger, history and legends of epic proportions... and we're just talking about the grid coordinates surrounding the venue!

Pre-sale tickets for die-hard fans only are available now for 75 EUROS and will be available soon through regular outlets, but before that MANOWAR has compiled a new Ultimate Fan package for 2009 Magic Circle Festival so irresistible that it will be offered for a limited time and limited quantity as pre-sale only available HERE

Seems easy enough to get to, Dublin to Frankfurt-Hahn flights are 80 euro with Ryanair, but the lineup's abysmal so far.

And I wonder how many utter imbeciles will go for the ultimate fan package...

Laughing Wow!

Good craic and all last year but seems a bit pointless this year, holding off until 2010 wouldve made much more sense!

Depends on the lineup Paddy. As it is, I'll probably give it a skip. Although if that Cork crowd is heading again, I'll probably go just for the sheer craic that will be had.

Heard about this early today from Udo and the guys but didn't bother posting it.
The only bands announced are bands under MCm(Joeys company)
Have a feeling they won;t be booking any bands this year outside of MCM.
There's only one day of bands. It's gonna be more like a gig than an actual festival.
As for hanging with Mr Metal well i promised to meet him for drinks in Cork in June.So if any Manowar lovers or haters:P wanna join us feel free to meet up in Fredz in the 2nd week of July Very Happy

What makes it even more funny is that they have to change the lyrics of their songs so that any time the word "Majesty" is used, it has to be "Metal Force."

Very, very cringeworthy when playing live.

Funniest band ive seen yet, was in tears laughing at them, best part for me was the way the singer tried tries to imitate everything Eric Adams does on stage. He'd try run off stage behind the amps when a solo starts, but their solos werent long enough so he got about half way across the stage and had to run back Laughing the pansy screams he does too Laughing
