That belcher/Akiyama fight was a load o' shit. I like Akiyama but I don't think he deserved that especially with that last rounds performance. :/ thought Belcher's flying punch off the fence would have won it for creativity alone.  |

Agree with you on that one.
What did yas think of Hendo? I didn't expect him to that good, and as for th follow up 
Enjoyed the GSP fight, dominant display, thought Alves would do more.
Lesnar was class adn beat him up as expected but the best thing was his rant after, so funny (Bud light v Coors light ) |

| yea the rant was funny, the ref let 13 full force punches to the face before he decided your man couldnt defend himself..it was an absolute massacre. only caught that and the fight on after it, wanna catch GSP fight at some point though |

I take it you didn't see the full repeat on Setanta last night?
I had the thing taped and only watched it last night trying not to see the results during the day, I suceeded.
The Sun are reporting that a hybrid deal is on the cards for the new rights package. ESPN UK to have the main events and Virgin1 to have TUF, interesting. SKY is going with some new UK mma outfit, it'll never work. |

GSP fight was ok, bit long winded at 5 in the mornin though i was wrecked and the missus was losing interest but a great performance and by the end of it he looked like he had just been for a light workout  Brock is indeed an animal and why you would(sean) lay a bet against him is anyones guess . I hate that frank mir cunt anyway,looks like a fuckin goon, the way him and his cronies try rippin on lesner in their training sessions is fairly pathetic. i love the way he shot up to his feet after it had been called and the crowd had to get in between them all in all an awesome UFC 100, roll on 8th of august |

I watched the Lesnar v Mir fight and I have to say, as much as it was a great strategy to use his weight and pin one of Mir's arms up against the cage so he couldn't defend/escape, he's a black mark on the federation.
1) Who gives a flying fuck if Bud Light aren't paying you, you got $400,000 for 7 minutes in the octagon, that's probably more than what I'll earn in 20 years of work. Anybody telling me "his life was in danger" talks crap. 6 ft 3, over 270lbs after official weigh-in, a neck like a tree stump and fighting a predominantly ground-fighter. Strikes to the temple weren't going to happen.
2) Trash-talk may sell, but coming out as a bit of a loose cannon for a sport that is already seen as "too dangerous" doesn't help getting the license for fights from sports commissions. The saliva on the camera just outside the cage, the fingers to the crowd, mocking a sponsor, "jumping on your wife", the guy somehow got a contract after just 1 fight in K-1, beating the guy with submission to strikes or T.K.O. How he'll manage to be offered another one is beyond me.
Who beats him now though? A complete wild-card guess would be Bobby Lashley, another WWE heavyweight who is just as big as Lesnar and proving his worth in MMA, or the infamous Kimbo Slice, who if you've seen the videos, can dish out and take hard punches in equal measure (bar one humbling 13-second knockout in a previous MMA match). |

the winner of Carwin v Velasquez could be the next to face Lesnar. However, Fedor's contract with afflictions runs for one more fight, if he doesn't get beaten by Barnett, then UFC will go all out to sign Fedor with a view to him facing Lesnar.
GSP was great as usual. He managed to fight on after the third round even though he had a badly injured groin. There really is no one for him left to face at 170.
Bisping might be more reserved in future now |

| I dont think there's any need to bullet reasons why you dont like lesner. he's a meat head mans-man type and far from the "noble warrior" type people like to see in the cage. He's a solid fighter, who handed his last fight to Mir by not knowing enough about his ground game, even though Frank won, he still went on to bad mouth and flame brock, he got what he deserved,hammers to the face fedor is the man i wanna see face off against lesner, still has an unbeaten record right? only that headbutt to antonio roderigo nogera(cant spell that ) in pride a few years ago. but that was a no contest and he smashed him on the rematch as far as i remember, so yeah, Brock V Fedor, fight of the century for the UFC if they got it. |

There is a difference between being a "man's man" and a "complete dick". I really looked forward to Lesnar coming in at the start but to say "oh he's a great fighter" with the crap he's spouting is unreal. What fighter bring up the issue of pay IMMEDIATELY after the match in such a tone? Mir is in no way innocent himself, but 12-3 deserves a little more confidence than 4-1 going into it. For all the talk of Lesnar wanting a real test, he just sounds like a bitch who want's his part of the cut. If he just kept himself to his fighting I'd have no problem at all with him.
Fedor currently stands at 30-1 which is an unbelievable MMA record to have, and it'll be interesting to see if it happens AND if Fedor can stand against Lesnar, who handles being on average 40lbs heavier, a lot easier, I reckon if he pushed around 290lbs most heavyweights would be fucked unless they have knockout capability like Carwin ,who would also be a good match against Lesnar.
On a side note to this, Kimbo Slice(!) is in the next season of The Ultimate Fighter with Rampage/Rashad? Wonder how that came about, after Dana saying Kimbo would get killed in the UFC...

bah i use my malfunctioning brainbox to do the thinking not yer google and the loike  good call on lesner i guess but i like that he's a cunt to be honest it suits him in a way.  I dont like Kimbo that much simply due to his background but he's taking himself very seriously since being given the breaks he has so I reckon more power to him and let's see what he's got now |

Lesnar plays up to being a cunt, partly cos of how he was percieved as basically a big joke when he came in, its been said he is scarily intense and the boos and fan hatred fires him up to unbelievable levels.
Plus he comes from WWE and he knows that being the ultimate bad guy (much like Ortiz) will keep fans coming out to see him get his comeuppance and keep him in the spotlight. He will do nothing but help UFC's growth in my opinion.
Also Bobby Lashley is doing ok right now, but at this monent in time I don't think he would last a round with Lesnar, give it a year or two after he puts away a few credible guys, beating Bob Sapp and going toe to toe with Brock are two very different things.
Also Kimbo Slice beating anytop havyweight or even light heavyweight is laughable right now. Still I'd love to see it! |

I dont know why everyone is getting their knickers in a twist over the actions of Hendo and lesnar.
Hendo acted on pure instinct when he dived on Bisping after flooring him IMO I dont think he did it on purpose even though he somewhat admitted it in his interview with Joe Rogan but that was just pandering to the crowd a bit, Ive seen much worst ie Rampage giving Wandy 3 more punches in the face after he was KO'd and Babalu not releasing his choke hold on Heath after the ref told him to and had to prize him off (in which got Babalu's contract ripped up in the UFC) so in contrast it was nothing.
With Brock I think he's trives on being the Bad guy and doesn't really give a shit what people think of him, they all classed him as a joke when he signed in the UFC because of his WWE background but look at him now he's the Undisputed Champ and I cant see anyone beating him in a long time.
I was reading a recent interview with the majority owner of UFC Lorenzo Fertitta.
These 2 questions caught my eye
1/ When is the UFC going to go back to Dublin
"Next year, St Patricks Day"
2/ The next question was regarding Fedor's exclusivity (is that a word?) if he signed to the UFC. To which Lorenzo states the company could work around the whole Sambo issue, and even let him compete in it as long as its not within 2 months of an MMA fight.
So Fedor might be in the UFC sooner than people think which is great news for us but bad news for Brock, lets just hope he beats Barnett first |

why are people blowing smoke up kimbo's arse!? if he fought lesnar he wud get fucking minced, actually any top 20 heavyweight would destroy him. the man was ko'ed by a shitty last minute replacement light heavyweight. plus james 'chin of sand' thompson nearly beat him too.
