Epiphone Les Paul Standard Premium Plus (Birds-Eye Maple, limited edition) with SD 59 in the neck and a Dimebucker in the bridge for £200 off my buddy Ian. Best epi LP i've ever played, bar none
Epiphone Futura Prophecy EX - (24 fret, set-neck, flame maple top explorer, loaded with EMG 81/85) with a reinforced gigbag for £311 off Thomann. Possibly the most under-rated (and under-priced) guitar ever built. Seriously, thon thing's a demon!
Ian from SUG? I can't remember exactly how it came about, but if it's the same guitar at one stage I had the opportunity to buy it, and didn't |

That's the boy. The guitar is fucking fantastic. Ian sold it as he was upgrading all his Epi's to Gibsons if i recall correctly. Amazing sound cuz of the pickups (the Dimebucker is my favourite pickup EVER) and a stunning finish - the bird's-eye maple is beautiful. i really wanna know how old this guitar is, i think it was maybe built either '91 or '94. can anyone shed any light? |

You should be able to tell that from the serial number

| Bought an Epiphone Les Paul Midnight Special of which there were only 500 made back in February. There were only 500 made as it was a limited edition run and it was going for around €900 or so when it was first released. I picked mine up for €300 second hand. Tis a beauty. Beats the Les Paul Studios hands down and it was only a fraction of the price. |

got my mapex m-birch 7-piece kit with fresh heads, a full set of hardware (hihat stand, snare stand, throne, 3 boom stands) and cases for 700 squid!...
it had never been played either, got it off a lad i know from home who was movin to australia and was desperate to sell. i had just sold my piece of crap pearl forum kit 3 weeks prior and and had VERY nearly paid like over a grand for the mapex kit (just the shells i think) brand new...i have never been more pleased with a decision to be stingy
also swapped a 16" old paiste rude crash that i wasnt too keen on for an unused joey jordison signature snare...was pretty happy with that one too! |
