Everything i've gotten off of Adverts has been a complete steal or bargain and shockingly daycent quality for some of the prices.
Dunno if that attests to the cluelessness of the nation but if I get a 120w amp or a FastTrack Pro for a third of the price because the footpedal has a loose jack or the interface is 'too complicated' then I wont protest!

There are definately some crazy deals on adverts.
Gotta be quick snapping them up though and sometimes people are dicks and break the rules offering more than asking or else PMing the seller after they have accepted offers.

Recently I got a Klark Teknik graphic EQ for 120€, rrp was 1800£ sterling!
Also got an Orban channel strip for the studio for 150€, they go for around 1000 dollars on ebay.

An early '90's ESP M2 Deluxe for a case of beer and some Pringles.

I'll elaborate. Mate of mine was storing some music gear, along with said ESP in my house. The guitar deosnt work, so the guy told me "if you can fix this, you can keep it" I put it away in my music room and promptly forgot about it.

Few beers at mine after the Stomzone gig on Sunday night, Steve Moore takes one look at it and says "Aye I can fix that, I'll have it back to ye by the end of the week." So I promised him a case of beer of his choice plus any repair costs.

I win.

I've had an ESP bass since the early 90s. In that time US Fenders, Rickenbackers, EBMM, Sadowsky and more have come and gone but the ESP will always be the keeper.

I can't believe someone would cast away a very expensive guitar like that. Still, fair fucking play if you get to keep it Laughing
