Right so, for all the gear nerds, I though I'd post whatever news I have for NAMM so far and you guys can post whatever you're looking forward to!

New Ibanez stuff, they have so much coming out this year its crazy! Loads of 7 and 8 string models as well as some fan favorites making a return - Green Dot UV for example. As well as an Iceman 7 string, Saber 8 string and a 30 fret RG!

Catalog here - http://www.musicandco.net/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=170:catalogue-ibanez-2013&catid=1:-news

New ESP Elite line, not much on this so far but some models posted on their site - http://www.espguitars.com/news/LTD-Elite.html Made in Japan LTD models.

Also, Seymour Duncan have announced that they are releasing a shit ton of pickups, old and new, in active sized housing for us 7 and 8 string players who get stuck with EMG's or Blackouts and want to swap out for passives. SH-6 8 string model for me please!

The new Randall Fortin designed amps look interesting too, but I cant really find much info on them.

So what info do you guys have or what are you looking forward to?

Bollox...

The one 7-string I was hoping Ibanez would release in Europe this year isn't on the list.

I'm a sad panda Sad

EDIT:

Oooooo just seen the 7-String Jem.
Wouldn't be caught seen holding it in public but would love an Alder bodied seven for recording.
Also curious about the new Blaze pickups.

The new ESP models are the "LTD Elite" range. LTD's made in Japan by the ESP team. They're claiming that they are a step up from LTD's current Deluxe range and rumor has it there's precious little to tell between them and an Esp standard.

Whether that's the truth or is a marketing ploy to capitalise on the formidable reputation of Japanese ESP remains to be seen, but im optimistic. Theyre offering an M2 in amber quilt and its the prettiest guitar i've ever seen

I'm defo curious as to the new LTD line. Playing an MH-1000 and it's the job. If I can't get a custom made number in next coupla months I think this will be the direction I'll go

Not a seven or eight string player myself but definatly looking forward to hearing this later, its schecters first go at an amp, in both full stack and 2x12 combo and quotes "Innovative 'Focus' Control Optimized for 7 and 8 string range"

Not alot of other details though.

Definately in the market for a 7-string. The LTD Stef T7 is looking to be my one to watch. Namm is looking very promising this year.

I'd have thought a les paul/eclipse seven would have been more your thing bro? though 7's in that shape seem notoriously hard to find. i've seen a couple of Epi ones but that's about it

That Evertune bridge is a bit of a reach. Basically removing the human error viability from every aspect of music altogether now.
You wouldnt want to lose that fob either or you'll be stuck in the same tuning forevertune. Rolling Eyes

Sometime in the summer I think. I've always heard companies say they aim for most of the new releases to be out by April/May but it usually takes longer.

Anyway.... Ibanez J-Custom 8 String anyone?

Few new Boss pedals.

Tera Echo TE2 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N0eLDd1k2ZI

Adaptive Distortion DA2 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tdw7uDQZ4YQ

Multi Overtone MO2 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r9lv9OkGE8A

Definitely gonna get one a TE2, sounds fantastic.

Few new Ibanez guitars - http://www.guitar-muse.com/namm-2013-ibanez-mondo-update-iron-label-series-steve-vai-7-string-and-rg9-6131
The finish on the RG9 looks a bit naff imo.

Prototype Ibanez RG9 - 9 String Guitar

Not much is known about it other than it was asked for by Tony MacAlpine and it has Lace Aluma Deathbar pickups and its tuned C# F# B E A D G B E.

Crazy instrument! Even the 8 string guys are saying its a bit too much. I like it though, couldnt see myself actually playing a 9 String but this thing is deadly to just look at!

And if anyone could put this to use I'd reckon Tony would be the man.
