While reading that Ginger Wildheart is working on a book in which he will watch and review 500 gore movies, he mentioned August Underground Mordum as one of them.

Checked the article on Wiki and fuck me it sounds sick as fuck.

While I wouldn't say completely sick, the last 5 minutes of Eden Lake were pretty fucking grim. That one played on my mind for a few days. Great film though

Eden Lake is genuinely unnerving; a lot more effective that something, such as A Serbian Film, which simply ellicits a 'what the fuck?' response, but fails to drive any real commentary, apart from 'they'll make films about anything these days'.

Anyone seen the documentary Black Metal Veins?

Harrowing isn't the word. Basically follows 5 junkies path of self destruction. (Addicted to various drugs, predominantly Heroin, Crack etc) Mental stuff altogether. Don't want to give too much away because unlike most of the bollocks mentioned here this is actually worth a watch even though it makes for very uncomfortable viewing.

Trailer is on youtube, gives you more than an idea of what you're in for.

Doesn't look all that interesting. Looks too much like a movie that's trying to be a documentary but doing it badly.

I this movie and I have to say it sickened me, sorry but anything involving children is fucked up beyond belie. I don't care if the director tried to call it art.
Last I heard he was under investigation for this movie.

I know people will want to watch it because you hear so much about how fucked up it is but the less that see it the better. (serbian movie)

Brilliant deduction based on watching a clip that lasts less than two minutes. I don't think you'd have the same opinion having watched the complete film.

No but what else are trailers for if not to give you an impression of a movie? Sorry for deducing an opinion on a movie based on two trailers of said movie that were released with the intent of showing people what the movie was about. You even said it yourself "Trailer is on youtube, gives you more than an idea of what you're in for." Well that trailer gives me the idea that it's a low budget mockumentary that would be far more harrowing if it was a real documentary.

I suppose you'll watched a trailer or listened to a demo and thought "nah this isn't all that great" but then still go out and buy the album or movie and watch it in full?

And I'm saying that it's not a "Mockumentary", watching the full film will confirm that for you.

Neither your previous comments or the trailers made that clear at all. It really comes across as a very low budget attempt at something akin to a snuff movie. In neither trailer is it made clear it's real. If it it actually real it'd be worth a look, but my point still stands the trailer does a shit job of conveying that.

That was my initial post - How much clearer could I have been?

Anyway this is ridiculous, until you've seen the film it's absolutely pointless arguing about what it is or isn't.

My mistake then. It must've been the trailers that made me think otherwise.

No harm done, just to reiterate the film is far more shocking than the trailer alludes to. That's why I put it in this thread rather than the main film thread.
