Witch Cross kicked ass, but their signing session was ballsed up and a load of us missed it. Lot of angry Germans with the 4LP box set milling about!
Predicting Dennis Stratton would be there and spotting him was deadly, especially as nobody would frigging believe me - even got him to write a letter to Kieran (The Ghoul on here) and he STILL thought it was a wind up.
Oz were phenomenal, but missed too many bands due to enjoying the glorious weather and outrageous craic with the Maltese, Croatians, Portugese and Aussies. Such a class group, the entertainment was top notch.
2012 highlight was the NWOBHM tribute, it fucking kicked arse. We were all in our element roaring along to the setlist, with guest appearances from the original band members for every song.
Fuck all sleep due to partying with Germans till 5am as they were playing loud (but killer) music, eyes were a disaster on sunday and couldn't see too well in the airport. Loved it, and already got my ticket for 2013!
Proper highlight though was seeing Rowena and Joe's 2 month old baby girl that those pair of hardcore True bastards brought to the fest! |

Not much to say other than the fact that it was a brilliant weekend. Donal, loved that buckfast thing. Aiden was a disaster on Friday evening especially.....circle dancing and getting dizzy all by himself Cheers to Kieron as well. Next time though I will choose camping over hotel because I can enjoy the party more rather than having to 'fight' to find myself a taxi to go back to the hotel.
Signing sessions were awkward to say the least. For the Arch/Matheos I was the first one to be left out from the queue because time was up and I didn't make any fuss about it....not that keen on autographs and that stuff, I was actually there to help a friend of mine since each person had to have not more than 3 things for signing. A guy behind me starting begging to be let in and they let him and felt that was very unprofessional from the security since I was next in line.
Anyways until the next one !! |

Aidan was a one-man mosh pit once he got some buckfast into him. |

| And Adramelch? I need to know! I also find it hard to believe that that NWOBHM guests with backing band was the highlight. |

Adramelch were class as always.. they suffered a few sound problems which were sorted out as the show went on and they had to cut the set short as Witch Cross went over..
My highlights were Adramelch, Witch Cross and the Fates Warning songs in the Arch Matheos set... Guardian with John Arch on vocals was a moment in time...lots of people were crying..Im too tough for that carry on
Lowlight was the heat on Saturday...
Its difficult to explain the atmosphere of the NWOBHM set ...so I wont...you just had to be there!! |

Yeah, I'm gutted I missed it. For the record Danny, the first NWOBHM tribute at KIT 3 years ago was the total highlight of the weekend. The atmosphere was like nothing else.
I guess I'll make another attempt at making next year |

Adramelch, Slough Feg and Tension were the best bands for me. The NWOBHM tribute was on a different level though. I wasn't expecting much, which helped, but it was outstanding. The set-list has been posted up on a few sites. Have a look. The best thing about it was that even though the vocals at times were a bit on the rough side, the whole feeling and atmosphere more than made up for it.
I just arrived after Portrait were finished so I can't comment on that.
Yeah, and Buckfast can just fuck off! |

Per was back on vocals, which was great. I didn't like the singer on YouTube-liveclips in January that much.
Awesome festival once again and a great trip overall, pure madness. |
