Apparently they've 2 headliners already booked for 2013. Any rumours or suspicions yet?
Hopefully its not maiden, they have a 2013 history part 3 tour next year planned for europe which im dying to see but rather at their own show than download.
Still go if they were playing but just for that day. |

| Day tickets wont be out till march I reckon. I know a couple of lads who stayed at a reasonably priced hotel in Loughborough, i'm sure you'd find something daycent. If I go to Download next year I wont be camping again, that's for sure! |

Yeah, I heard it was renamed to 'Drownload.'
Is there a decent taxi rink outside donnington to take me away to my nice warm hotel after the show? |

| Yep, in the carpark just across the road taxi's go regularly. If you're in a neighbouring town or village a bus goes every hour 24hours |

Something I notice about Metallica gigs actually, its like a big competition of who's the biggest fan. I can only imagine how annoying it would have been if I was standing beside that lad in the video shouting back/singing everything in that James Hetfield snarly voice
I had to move back right before the black album kicked in because I couldn't see much from where I was and got jammed beside a buck singing every single main guitar riff into my ear 10 seconds before the riff actually happened...Swear he wanted to me to turn around and pat him on the back for knowing how the tune goes No bother though, just moved back abit more and found a few casual fans having the craic.
Yeah, Corey played a great show but if you notice, he's abit of an actor for the crying. Every gig he does acoustically, with Stone Sour and I think even Slipknot since 2010, he balls his eyes at some point during a song over Paul Gray...Fairly milking it at this stage lol. When it happened to Evile, they kept the heads down for a few weeks and eventually got back to it and that was it...No big crying scenes on stage every show. And I'd imagine they actually hung out with their bassist! But anyway, this time though, Corey balled his eyes out when he was giving a Golden God award on stage |

He was presented with a Metal Hammer award after his set on stage, for Slipknot being the best act of the past 10 years of Download. |

Is that a response to the lads above talking about a hotel? Up to us what we want to do, I'll camp at Nova Rock and the likes...Not Download, its way too fucking big and loading in/out the tents and shit is just annoying these days. I know a few lads that went to a hotel, said it was mad craic...Tons of download folks there, cheap bar prices, no £7 food prices and a rock club after 12am. |

Me too, if you look at the 2013 logo that they stuck up on the net the other day, the dog looks like Eddie on one of their album covers.
That thing with Hetfield doing the 'Metallica family' bullshit was so cring worthy lol I'm convinced he was making it up on the spot btw |
