| Also, we are delighted to announce FOREST STREAM Symphonic black Doomheads from the harsh winters of Russia as the next band confirmed for MDM 2012!!! The first Russian band to hit Maltese shores and it can't be better than this...formed in 1996 with a string of albums under their hat these guys bring some great emotionally charged atmospheric music to our sacred Isle! |

The first Maltese band to be confirmed for the next mega edition of the Malta Doom Metal Fest are the long standing, uncompromising extreme metalheads SLIT! They shall be unveiling a special sludge set especially for the MDM, showing their passion for the genre and influences like YOB and IRON MONKEY

......and the 5th band needs a good introduction.
It's with great pleasure that we bring you the legendary cult Swedish doom band - SORCERER!! The band are working on some new stuff which will be premiered at MDM plus all the old stuff that we all worship and adore. |

| True Mark. It is mainly due to the fact that some contacts have been going on from previous editions and therefore an agreement can be reached more rapidly and also the fact that we had an overwhelming amount of requests by bands to play over here which also aids the fast build-up of the lineup. |

Maltese Death/Doom band Oblique Visions are added to the lineup. They will perform choice-cuts from their 1995 album 'Seas of Serenity', an album which is regarded as a milestone in the local underground scene.
Also, it is with great pleasure that we announce that Mortalicum from Sweden are added to the MDM 2012 line-up. Very promising band which will be releasing a new album later this year.
More very interesting news to come.
Updated lineup in first post |

By popular demand we have added GRIFFIN DEVICE (Malta) to this year's billing. Their debut at MDM last november made a huge impact and everyone looking forward for more unbridled, heavy tones from what is certainly among Malta's finest!
also, it is with great honour that we can now confirm that those heavy doom metal legends THE BLACK from Italy are now added to the MDM 2012 billing...led ably by Italian true metal iconand the multi-talented Mario Di Donato (winner of the Premio Dante Alighieri) for his contribution to Italian art and culture, THE BLACK are indeed one of Italy's most seminal bands on par with DARK QUARTERER and STRANA OFFICINA...so get ready for an educational tour and enjoy THE BLACK's collosal riffage!!!!! |

The Black!!! Bloody hell!
Was disappointed I could not make last years. Might have to put this one one the priority list now. |

Just put some Italian Horror-related bands on the bill and you've got Jonathan's blood pressure going! |
