Refrigerator = Big
And yeah, I think having bands on that late is a mistake....I learned it at the Hail Of Bullets show. Better just DJ's at that time when people are so hammered. |

| The Pint doesn't always empty around midnight though? Depends on who is playing of course. |

Tony from Psykosis here
Thanks to the crowd that watched our set, it was our first gig in a few weeks so we were really happy to play and have a big crowd.
I could only watch Warpath and Dead Label, ye both played great. Thanks for putting us on too.
Next gigs are DRI on 23rd and Dichotomy EP launch on 28th for anyone interested. |

Id say that unless its a touring band that, in my experience it does.... |

Thanks to all who turned out over the course of the day and the evening. Numbers were down on the last two instalments but I was still happy enough with how it went (given Cork was last weekend and it being the middle of the month etc). There was a really nice vibe all day and some great performances. Thanks to all of the bands, to the venue, Rob for the amazing burgers, Rats for another brilliant job and the Crunchy Crew (Darragh, Nadine, Shane, Dave, Karl and Scobes).
The big success of the day was how well the Panel Discussions went. Pretty decent attendance for what was a completely experimental endeavour. There is clearly an interest in more of this so I’ll be including a panel element to ‘Hail the Gods of Winter’ (details on that soon). Here is a video that Arkadi did of the 2nd discussion. http://youtu.be/F9XrL035h9A Thanks a million to all the panellists who as well as giving up their personal time to be there, had some really excellent insights and perspective to offer.
Finally, I do take the point about the later acts playing to small numbers but that is why the main acts go on no later than 11. At the same time I might look at covers bands or something for the final slots in future.

Are you not currently advertising an “all night gig”??? |

Yeah, and I plan on having the bands done by about midnight
It's an 'all night metal bash' so DJ's after the bands. Oh yes. |

Had a great day at this! The discussion panels were very informative, it was refreshing to hear some brutally honest opinions on the music business and Irish metal/culture. Was a tad nervous about having to lead one so hope it came across alright. Watched bits of several bands throughout the day and all of Fuckhammer and put faces to Metal Ireland forum names which was great. Also did some empty stomach drinking and shite-talking, great craic!
We (Mental Deficiency) kind of figured the attendees would be sparse and kind of confused by the time we took to the stage, but by the end we had a good crowd and the banter off the audience was great! Props to the guy who shouted that he wanted to germinate his seed all over our chests.
All in all we had a blast - looking forward to getting down to Dublin again. |

The discussion looks like it was good, would be interesting to see more in future.
"Anti-Andy metal" Poor oul' Andy. Why do I get the feeling a lot of the rest of us on here fall into that bracket... |

It was meant in jest entirely as Andy knows me well enough for me to be able to make the point by using his as a guinea pig.
Saturday was good and it was interesting to spread out a little from the usual format of doing things. |

I'm reluctant to watch that video.
Anyway, cheers to Crunch for a great day. I think the panels went well even if I contributed very little. |
