| This announcement was definitely not worth the wait IMO, I'm glad I got my Download ticket. |

| Same as... Kiss and Queen are big names to be sure, but just not worth the big hype. I'll take Sabbath and Metallica over any of those any day.... now if Brian and the lads can raise ould Freddy from the grave it would be worth a day trip anyways... |

So what caused the big delay in the announcements then? Think everyone and their mother knew that Kiss/Queen/FNM were the headliners for the past few weeks.
At least they're not repeat headliners and i guess Queen is new to both soni and download. |

| I know it's a long shot, but if any of you are going for weekend tickets, could you send me on your booking reference? I can get free tickets to the Madrid Sonisphere with it! |

| Waste of time, I can and have seen a lot of those play recently, if they had announced RATM I'd have picked up a day ticket, glad I got the Download ticket now. |

| Faith No More are more than enough for me to buy a ticket! Gojira, Clutch, Mastodon, Fields of the Nephilim, Refused and the likes are all just massive bonuses. Never been to this fest and it's about time I sorted that (I like alot of the Download lineup - well, none of them as much as I like FNM - but i'm only back from Turkey a couple of days before that). |

Is Clutch playing this? I can't see it on their website or the Sonisphere site. |

My bad. They were definitely on the first poster when it was mostly just the headliners announced and I thought 'that's good enough for me'. They've since disappeared off it and no explanation why. |

just got my ticket for this. FNM and Katatonia sealing the deal.
Fear Factory and Sabbath will be sadly missed by not going to Download but the dates for Sonisphere are more suitable. Think there's 1 more big announcement to be made too |

Very happy with Crowbar and Electric Wizard being added!
Flights to Luton and then get the bus to Stevenage the best option for travel? |

yeah, thats the way we went when we were over in 2010. Think the bus to stevenage from luton is either the number 7 or 77 or 777. Alot of 7s in it anyway
There was a free shuttle bus service from stevenage station to knebworth running as well which is handy if you're staying in stevenage as well. |

Nice one, cheers! Got my flights anyway, 4:45 on the Thursday (should be enough time to get to Stevenage before the bus runs stops after 9) and can have a lie in on the Monday before fecking off home at 8:25 - 125 sheets for the lot. Going on my own as it stands but will hopefully corral a few heads in the meantime...
Grand, roll on more bands |
