For example, did anyone see the two lads who both had pillows (?!?) with "I Love Sleep" written on them in marker, and kept holding them up in the hope that the band would see them? They were directly in front of me for the whole gig, and I could moan about how they constantly restricted my view, blah blah blah, but at the end of the day it was just two nerdy young lads getting their kicks, and I still had an amazing time. No big deal.

ha ha is that what was on them? brilliant. |

Amazing gig, so fuckin' loud...
Enjoyed WOFM, sound was class for them.
Didnt bother with ASOL
Sleep literally shook the ground beneath my feet, it was the closest thing to a religious experience I will ever have, magical pretty much sums it up for me
In a fuckin' heap today, ears still ringing |

Did anyone notice Jason Roeder say something to a member of the crowd in between songs.
Looked like he was telling them to fuck off for filming or something. |

Absolutely stunning gig. I voiced my reservations (and they were valid, dammit!) about the Roadburn set earlier in this thread, but I thought this was way better, consistently excellent and the sound was incredible. Of course the size of the venue and being bearer the front helped, but it seemed generally a lot more together to me. I didn't find it tough on the ears but I can't remember the last time I was at a gig that could be physically felt to that extent.
Missed Wizards alas, was nonplussed by ASOL but that's a style that doesn't appeal to me anyway.

Annoying, sure, but the attempt to divide a crowd into troo / false lines based on this is tedious. Also, are people really too socially inept to try ASKING someone to move their bag if it's a problem? |

I thought Storm of Light were deadly. Pity they dont sound like that on record.
Really enjoyed Sleep, great vibe all through the set too.
All hail Carl Sagan. |
