Does anyone have good suggestions for games on Android devices?
Donal recommended Super Stickman Golf to me. It's free and addictive as hell. One of the best arcade/puzzle games I've played in a while is Azkend. It has addictive gameplay and a surprisingly good story. There's a free version that has just a handful of levels. Grim Joggers is rock hard but fun. There's a free version with one level. Osmos HD is an utterly fantastic physics-based arcade game. Probably my favourite Android game so far, although Zombie Dash comes very close. I bought Super Monkey Ball 2: Sakura Ed last week for €0.49 but I haven't had a chance to play it much. It seems really fun.
You should check out Humble Bundle: http://www.humblebundle.com
Pay as little or as much as you want and help a couple of charities while you're at it. I'll be buying this bundle later on this week. I bought the first one when it was released a month or so ago and I never looked back. |

Not owning an Android, I have no suggestions for games on the system. However, The Humble Indie Bundle is a great deal for most of the times they've put one out, I've supported them 4 times at least for great Steam games like Binding Of Isaac, Super Meat Boy, Shank, Osmos, Dungeons Of Dredmor, Edge etc... great games plus supporting charity = win.
The latest one so far though has not tickled my fancy, has at least two games that have been on previous bundles... but they're out for Android, so that's what matters. |

Addictive games for the phone
Binary Sudoku
Copter
Football Kicks
MX Mayhem (or Stick Stunt Super Lite) but neither has that many (free) levels
On the tablet, playing
Brothers In Arms
GRave Defense HD
and picked up a Nintendo 64 emulator but you have to source the ROMs yourself. |

When you first get the phone it has tons of useless shite enabled. If you disable all the unused extras it should be fine. |

There are a lot of things you can do to conserve your battery. Disable all polling in the background is a huge help. I used to actually disable 3G entirely when I was walking around with the phone in my pocket. I once got 2.5 days out of my HTC Desire by turning off all the network/wi-fi capabilities and using it as an actual old school phone! I have a Galaxy Nexus these days. I just plug it into the mains when I'm at work and plug it in beside my bed when I'm going to sleep. The battery rarely gets in the red. |

| Modern Combat 3, Need For Speed and Dead Space might all be worth a shout. I just downloaded a Gameboy Advance emulator and PlayStation emulator, have Final Fantasy VI and VII running on it, couldn't ask for much more from mobile gaming. |

Yeah, did a few of the recommendations here: http://smartphonegears.com/2011/04/how-to-improve-htc-sensation-battery-life/
I'll see how it goes! |

| I bought the Humble Bundle last night and it's absolutely fantastic value! I was playing Swords & Soldiers for the guts of 2 hours last night and I've barely made a dent in it. Canabalt is great too (like an easier Grim Joggers) and Cogs is very challenging. Totally worth the few quid I payed for it. |
