Never mistake the 3 biggest sellers for a holy trinity.
Leather Mike if your knowledge of cymbals is limited all the more reason why you should trust everything I say
Nah you're quite alright, I've seen some of the opinions that you've stated as fact before, and when it comes to trusting those opinions, I'd sooner follow the advice of next door's cat. |

Bollox. If you happen to be in a big band then you can get endorsed by whatever company you like. You'll find that other musicians will choose to accept an endorsment by whoever will take them, just to get the free gear or whatever is on offer. Endorsments are only indicitive of the amount of people the endorsee appeals to and how much they can sell for the endorsing company. How you think that any and all musicians can pick and choose the companies they want to be associated with is naive in the extreme.
And the reason your meinls are in such good condition is because you play like an old lady tapping on the pearly gates for admission. |

Balderdash. They are in good condition because they're robust and I look after them. Do you ever think Meinl endorsers speak as highly of them as I do and the staff believe in their music enough to offer them a wage? |

I'm not having a go at you here, but instrument/equipment companies don't offer endorsers/endorsees a wage. They will get big reductions (commonly referred to as "artist's rates,") off the price of gear and occassionally some free gear. The luckiest (i.e most famous/lucrative) will be granted a signature model of whatever instrument they use, usually based on a custom shop model they've previously ordered. Although they may get some recompense for allowing their name and likeness to be assocaited to these instruments, similar to image rights royalties, Artists are not offered a wage by manfacturers.
If you're going to get on a high horse, make sure you know what you're talking about before you do. Having egg on one's face can be embarrassing. |

They get paid for advertising products and sales cut of signature lines. That counts as a wage |

On a personal note that is the height of contradiction. Why doesn't anyone take my word for it when I say Meinl is where it's at when it comes to cymbals?
They're actually the worst cymbals I've ever played , come to think of it. Aside from lower quality cymbals obviously. Although I don't mind Staggs, the china's do the job for a good price. |

| despite being somewhat maligned, Stagg gear is very good for its price. If you buy "higher end" Stagg gear you can get some fairly decent stuff. One of my first guitars was a Stagg LP copy and while it was no world beater, it had a proper set neck, decent machineheads and reasonably tasty pickups. Which, for 120 quid, was really good. I wouldn't use one of their instruments over one of my own like, but for disposables (picks, sticks, spare leads etc.) they're cheap and cheerful |

Their sticks are known to be awful. Tips coming off nylon tip sticks etc.
Cymbals are alright though. |

| There's really no point arguing with the 'father. His mind cannot be changed on anything regardless of the topic. |

On what evidence can you make such a statement ? |

Well, squealing "don't be so ignorant" at anyone who disagrees with you is sort of a giveaway. |

Bull shit of the highest degree. I say don't be so ignorant because one person contradicts me and the rest follow like sheep, as naive as this may sound I sense jealousy. Every one agrees with each other against me simply because they're scared to voice their own opinion and wish they had of said what I said first. Apologies in advance at the risk of sounding arrogant |

First off, I'm not having a go at you, and i'm certainly not jealous of you. just saying that arguing with you is like hitting one's head off a brick wall. I'm not saying anything you have said is right or wrong in this threador any other, i'm just not going to argue with you because i know it's futile.
until you learn to be a bit more flexible I'm gonna continue to ignore your posts. |

Ok, let me state very clearly, I'm neither being a cunt here nor trying to get a rise out of you. I'm asking a genuine question. Is it your honest opinion that people are jealous of you and wish they thought/said/did what you do? |
