Can not believe lil' Dime and lil' Zakk were not in the video crushing cans with their lil' bikes. They'd be teenagers now. They grow so fast.
That song is piss in more than name. |

| There's a reason why it was never released. It's not shite, but it's not fantastic either. I feel if it was used on the final album, it'd be considered filler. I'm so used to the album now I don't feel anything on it is filler anymore. |

Song is ok. At best.
That video is totally taking the Piss though *puts head in hands and despairs for the future of the human race*..... |

Video is retarded alright as are the lyrics.
But the song is pretty fun, nothing life changing but I was delighted to hear a 'new' Pantera tune, never trhought I'd have the experience of hearing a new Pantera tune again. |

I actually thought the track had a very similar structure to Cowboys From Hell in places... certain drum parts, etc.
The video is just shameful. I thought it was bad enough, but as soon as lads started getting punched in the face I was fucking mortified!
- Wanna get punched in the face, dood?
- Hell yeah!... for Dime, bro!

It's a shame that Pantera are associated so closely with the Brodude community. It's easy to forget that they released at least 3.5 Killer records.
As for the song, I reckon it should have been left in the vault. Shameless promotion to boost sales for the Vulgar Display reissue. i.e conveniently lost for over 20 years, only to be found at the time of the upcomming reissue. |

Both those songs were brilliant.... I Can't Hide especially. I had such high hopes for Reinventing The Steel on the strength of those songs. That made my disappointment all the worse when it did finally land. |

Putting aside their personalities, their moron fanbase, Phil Anselmo's lyrics and pretty much everything else about them, I really like approximately two thirds "A Vulgar Display" enough that I may even pick up this reissue.
not kidding or being sarcastic there for once. Only record by this shitpile of a band I have even a remote interest in, and I loved it when it came out (as did plenty of other folks who are probably not willing to admit it ). But videos like this are the reason a lot of us just can't be fucked discussing them in any terms beyond pisstaking generally.
That video is amazing (not in a good way), and a total reminder of how cringeworthy metal can be. The bald dude with the Pantera back tatt and goatee is clearly in a Pantera tribute band, where he's Anselmo. Admittedly, it's probably an imaginary band where he's still the only member, but still. Fair play like.
As adverts for sterilisation go it's top class. |

| I gave the song a listen yesterday when I'd nothing better to be doing and actually though it was alright. Was pretty disappointed with vulgar at the time bar mouth for war, fucking hostile, walk and a couple of others as I'd really liked cowboys. Reckon this song tops a lot of what was on the album. Saying that, I haven't listened to it in about 17 years so I could be talking through my bottom. |

Sounds like a very standard Pantera tune, nothing groundbreaking but would probably fit into an album sufficiently. Must note that I've never been blown away by any Pantera though.
Was expecting something a lot worse from the video from the comments though. There's hardly any metal music videos I don't cringe at this weather, and this is by no means the worst I've seen. |

| It's a pity that they don't try and crush the sledgehammers on their foreheads instead of empty cans. |

Absolute cringefest of a video.
As for the track itself I dont think its too bad, its not shite but its not great either. I probably would have loved it when i was 19 or 20 but too much water has gone under the bridge since to regard this as relevent. Time to let it go.
Brodude and out. |
