| They were great when they were playing but did they even play for 60 minutes? Good buzz apart from a few knuckledraggers in the pit, I was watching a couple of nasty bald cunts specifically targeting lads to throw a few digs at. Pricks. |

Great show, I never thought I'd get to see these lads. I've never seen Whelans so full either, must've been close to a capacity crowd? Phil was clearly suffering with an ailment of some description but I though SR played a great set, no duds, no messing. Who's to Blame was a definite highlight. I think Greg is an underrated drummer too, I think on the earlier records it's tougher to get a full appreciation of what he's actually doing, it was all crystal clear last night though. Sacred Reich could never be accused of being the most original bunch, but they are damned entertaining and could write a good song, as I say there were no lulls in the set and I felt they played for just the right amount of time.
Caught all of Psykosis's set too, can't say I enjoyed much of it to be honest. The lads are tight and put on an energetic show but I just cannot warm to that brand of thrash. "Zany" lyrics, "Wacky" stage presence but ultimately very little offered in the way of their own identity. Ordinarily I'd say they're paying tribute to the music they love and are having a good time but there's tonnes of other bands doing the exact same thing, I couldn't help thinking that Psykosis could be any one of them. To make matters worse, I felt by the time the lads played the song about skulling cans on the beach listening to thrash and rocking out with hot babes it had become a bit too "Brodude" for my liking.
Just in reference to the pit, I was behind the rail at the side, some nasty fuckers in there alright. I've never seen a pit like that in Whelans before, as usual for the most part it seemed friendly but there were definitely one or two troglodytes in there intent on hurting people. |

Good oul laugh at this.
Thought Psykosis were cool. Nice old skool buzz.
Sacred Reich were excellent, even if Phil was dying. Drumming was unreal for a big cunt too.
Like what's already been said. Pit was messy at times with sweaty bald wankers. Stagediving was a joke too. Get up and get down.
Also, anyone got a spare poster? Lad before me got the last one the bollix |

| Yep brought out a good few of the old ticket bashing scum alright but they probably won't be at another gig again for 20 years. |

Great night, got in late so missed most of Psykosis. The Reich Krispies were brilliant, though.
Anyone else think Wiley Arnett is the spitting image of Hugh Lawrie? Well, a Hugh Lawrie with long hair. |

Great gig and a great crowd. Haven't seen as many up on the balcony before.
Openers were fun but didn't like the later stuff as much.
SR were excellent, great mix of stuff and War Pigs was a blast.
Was in the pit myself and despite their appearance the bald sweaty lads were actually sound. The single stage diver got a great one going early on but he should have given up after that. Saw him take his hearing aid after a couple of songs so perhaps he couldn't hear people telling him to give it up? |

A great gig but twas feckin schtuffed in there! The Reich were amazing like I thought they would be, but def seemed like a short enough set alright. God those poor dudes have not aged well but none of us getting any younger is there. They played tight as fuck and the sound I thought was perfect, Phil seemed genuinely in awe of the crowd and the reactions. A pity they rushed off the stage so quick and didnt hang on for a few minutes to sign stuff. Did anyone hang around in Whelans for the night, just wondering if they came out for a pint to mingle with the punters? Twas very much a greatest 'hits' set alright and just hearing all those gems live made me realise just how many proper thrash anthems these guys had. And for them to play War Pigs...class! I distinctly remember being so pissed off that I missed 'em in 1990 cause it was a crappy school night!
I actaully thought the pit was great, of course the bald guys were throwing shapes but it didnt look like anyone genuinely got hurt, but maybe Im wrong? Imagine how crap it would be if there was no pit though! Someone said they never seen a pit like that in Whelans before, but if Im not wrong, the last time Agnostic were here it got pretty mental as well, maybe more so the fact that there were a significant number of mad Polish dudes stagediving etc, all good natured though. Anyway, so fuckin glad these thrash legends came here, they did not disappoint! Roll on Rotting Christ and D.R.I.! |

Phil was not well at all so I would cut them a little slack....he was an absolute trooper to go through with the show at all. I'd had to get him to a doctor etc y'day morning.
Superbly nice bunch of guys who are truly grateful for it all and were blown away by last night. They definitely want to return and Phil was quite upset that he wasn't in better fettle to hang out and also play a bit more. |

It's tongue in cheek man and a complete piss take, wouldnt expect you to pick up on that in one short set. There's a lot of stuff in thrash metal that we intentionally ridicule. Anyway thanks for watching our set and the comments |

Last nights gig was fucking class. Just caught the last couple of numbers of Psykosis and loved their enthusiasm and confidence. Looking forward to hearing their album when its finished.
Sacred Reich's set was class even if was just a little over an hour long but with tickets just 20 euro it was excellent value for money. Great sound and an amazing performance from the Reich with a brilliant set list. Thought Free and Who's to Blame were absolute killer. The only downside were a few of the dickheads in the pit as mentioned earlier. Always a couple of twats at every show. |
