From the people who came up with the idea for 70000 Tons of Metal comes "Barge To Hell", which is setting sail at Miami, Florida to Nassau, Bahamas and back to Miami again. One metal cruise in America just isnt enough!
http://bargetohell.com/
Quote: Not in the mood for a quiet holiday season? This December, 40 of the most extreme Metal Bands and 2,000 headbangers from around the world will go to the Caribbean to take over a luxury cruise ship for a 5 day and 4 night trip to the undead!
Make no mistake, this is not one of the cruises where you share the ship with regular cruise guests... It's like everyone has a backstage pass and you can mingle side-by-side with the Artists in this incredibly fan-friendly scenario that has no comparison.
See every band play two live shows on our three stages, each with it's own unique atmosphere: The luxurious "A Chorus Line" theater, the cozy "Spectrum" club and our jewel: The open air stage on the pool deck. Get all your memorabilia signed at the Meet & Greet sessions. Be part of our infamous Metal Karaoke and many other very special activities with the Artists on board. Last but not least: Don't forget that we have bars on board that never close! What are you waiting for? You might even need a vacation from this vacation when all is said and done!
BARGE TO HELL: The World's Most Extreme Metal Cruise

And thats only 20 out of 40 bands so far! |

Aye i already prebooked a cabin for this but we've decided to leave this one for the moment for finance reasons. It's selling a lot slower than the 70k cruises as a lot of the people who went on 70k won't be going on both and are waiting on the 70k announcments before deciding which one to book.
When i was on the cruise talking to the guy who runs UMC i asked him about some info that the Majesty of the seas guy in charge of food and booze let slip while i was talking to him.He said there was actually gonna be 3 seperate cruises.
Although Andy from UMC told me he was curently working on a total of 4 cruises. He didn't specify what they were but he said one of them well be a once off cruise.
In terms of cruises though other companies have been jumping aboard with the idea. There was a Kiss cruise this year which will have a second edition next year.Same with Monsters of rock cruise.
And now Engergy Mayhem fest are coming up with the ultimate cringeworthy cruise with Machine Head,Lamb of God,Anthrax,
And Johnathan Davis from Korn and one of the lads from Slipknot will be djing on it. |

Depends on what cabin you go for.If you get the cheapest quad cabin between 4 people the cabin works out at around € 930 each (based on current exchange rates) On top of that you have your flights.Which you can probably get if booked early enough a return for about €450 - €500 euro.
As for accomodations there's a place called South beach hostel.Think it's around €20 a night for a bed.
Then you have the obvious booze issues. Its around 4 euro + for a beer which are for the most part a 330ml bottle. We generally stuck with the 660ml cans of fosters which were around 8-9 dollars each i think. They worked out around 6 euro anyway.
A lot of people buy whats called rum runners and they are undetectable and used that to smugle spirits onboard.
Food is free on the crusies by the way.Except for Eddie rockets which you pay 5 dollars entry and food is all you can eat.
All in all with booze,Accomodation,Cabin and flights you're talking about close to €2000 probably with the cheapest cabin in mind. |

| €2000!? Fuckin' hell! Each to their own and all, but you could hit a few festivals in Europe for that price alone. Madness! |

Like i said if you sneak a lot of spirits onboard you'll save yourself a few hundred off that total but it's a pain in the ass going back to your cabin to refill the booze. It's not like the Sweden cruises where you can wander around the place with a bottle of whiskey from the duty free shop in your hand gargling it down and nobody giving a fuck unless you bring the tax free booze into the bar area. |

I'm sure the Metal Cruse from Miami is good craic, but it's really only affordable if you're based in North America. There's plenty of budget airlines that do crazy cheap flights to Florida for all the snowbirds in Winter so it's a cheap option if you're over there. |
