could be hes helping the others down on their luck, id say its more likely him trying to half apoligise/set record straight/ clear his concious....

It would be more honest to at least say that rather - it is time - it is ok to be seen associated with metal again. He isnt the worst in fairness - you only have to look at a lot of the 80s bands suddenly reappearing and stars of yesteryear pledging allegiance and hoping no one drags out old interviews

Metal/Rock signature guitars are generally horrific. Nice 'Nightswan' there Vivian.

I think the guy has had it pretty rough in the past few years (his parents have died and stuff).

He got slammed for not commenting on R J Dio's death at the time but his mother died just a couple of weeks before Ronnie.I guess stuff like that brings some people back down to earth.....also he seemed to enjoy the freedom of the Lizzy thing and even playing with Sweet Savage, maybe that renewed his interest in playing the heavier stuff away from the comfort of the Leppard day job.

Good honest interview with Ronnie here from 94......he slams Iommi and Butler......says nothing bad about Viv Campbell. Laughing

I wish I shared Ronnie's views on food. He's an angry bastard there. Cool interview. I take it the last cd he talked about was Strange Highways? I've never heard it. I'll have to seek it out.

I'm most concerned with RJD's attitude to eating and sleeping.

Anorexics & insomniacs must've been an untapped market back in '94 Smile

Still, I like Viv more than Ronnie. And fuck yiz that think otherwise!!

A good reminder there(and the following part 4)why I never liked RJD. Typical loudmouth yank attitude. Never short(no pun intended) of a jibe or two to throw in the direction of Ozzy and Tony, back in those days at least.

Having said that there's no questioning his vocal ability of course, best vocalist Rainbow ever had. Wink
