From the article:
Quote: The band arrived before schedule at HSBC Brazil without Geoff Tate and gathered 'secretly'. Some time later Geoff arrived without knowing they were gathered, so he didn't say anything and decided to find out what was going on. He stood behind the door long enough to realise the band were planning to fire him. At that time, he left silently without letting the band know he was there.
During soundcheck, things started to change. All of a sudden he pushed Michael Wilton violently and he fell to the floor, then he went towards Scott Rockenfield and pointed a knife at him, threatening him. Security staff from the venue had to separate them.
Not too sure how credible this report is, but it sounds fucking mental! No official statement from the band so far. |

Dunno what the point would be of firing Tate. Queensryche minus DeGarmo & Tate wouldn't be Queensryche anymore.
"where the band had gathered secretly"
Sounds like a scene from the Resurrection! |

Fucks sake! That's how bad things have gotten for them?!
Queensryche need to pack it in and salvage whatever's left of their dignity. |

| Sounds like their Eagles moment. I can't see any way back for them after that. |

| I wouldn't mind the rest of the guys forming a new band without Tate, as long as they still covered the classics live and they had someone who could match Tate in his prime vocally. |

| I'm not really sure to be honest. Part of me thinks that if Alice in Chains can do it, then so can QR. But then again, Queensryche without both DeGarmo and Tate really wouldn't be the same at all. |
