Price is totally spot on.
People have been spoilt with cheap door prices in DIY spaces for years.

Crux of the matter is that they were in debt for a good while and, as Barney has said, door money was the only way they could generate an income. BYOB is a big incentive for people.

Also, it's not like the volunteers pocket the cash. It's being used to build up the place so it has the same facilities as the old Giro's. Imagine a place where you can get posters/flyers/t shirts/recording done for next to nothing. A good thing, if you ask me.
