Ever since the release of "second" i can't get enough of this band. I've been fortunate enough to catch them in a small crowd of about 150 people. Kylesa opened up that night so that made it even better.
Can't wait for the new stuff! |

| It was a bit different but not bad by any stretch. It'll no doubt make sense in the rest of the album. |

| Good riffs in that tune, but the production though, way to clean/polished, no bit to it at all. |

| Gave up on them after the Third EP. When I heard the Red Album, I just thought it wasn't the same band. There was some grit in those EP's, nothing now IMO. |

New song has definitely grown on me, from "this is terrible" to "meh".
Thought they'd go down a more progressive route after the blue album but the new track doesn't hint at that. |

| Yeah the Blue Album really pushed the boat out in terms of diversifying the sound. I'm looking forward to hearing the new stuff regardless. |

| I have a feeling i will be left underwhelmed like i was with the new Torche album hopefully there are a few dirty fuzzy tracks on there too appeal to those with sludgier sensibilities |

Agree with you on that. The production went far too polished. Love their artwork though. Saw them with Torche and Rest s few years ago and picked me up a tasty tshirt. |

| These lads slipped off the radar for me all this time,as much as a Mastodon fan as I am too! Just gave a couple of tracks from the Red and Blue albums a listen there and sounds pretty good, nice blend of progressive rock and metal (even a bit of pop in there on some parts). Only heard the newest single from the new album on Pitchfork, wasnt as into it as much but ill definately give the previous two a whirl first and see how i get on. |

That new track is a bit shite aye. I've no problem with the way the vocals have progressed over the last 3 albums but there's very little, musically, to be excited about between the two new songs. The chord progression is very familiar, I think it's a simplified version of 'The Sweetest Curse'. |

| March to the Sea is great. I quite like the direction they're going with this one. |
