<  The Irish Metal Forum  ~  Members of Queensryche form new band - RISING WEST

"On Friday June 8th and Saturday June 9th, the core members of Queensryche will debut their new band “Rising West” at the Hard Rock Café in Seattle WA. Rising West features Michael Wilton, Eddie Jackson, Scott Rockenfield, and Parker Lundgren of Queensryche, with powerhouse vocalist Todd La Torre of Crimson Glory. The band will be performing rare and classic hits from the first 5 Queensryche albums and plan on hitting the studio sometime early summer to begin recording their first release."

Here's a few sound clips of the new singer, he sounds scarily similar to Tate!

Tate has been acting the prick for years now. He has no interest in metal any more and looks totally disinterested live. Think this is a great move for the rest of the band. New guy sounds amazing! That guy's voice sounds great on this clip -it would be cool to hear these classic songs with that vocal range -unfortunately Geoff cant seem to do that anymore.

New guy does sound amazing, would be a great replacement for Tate, however Tate hit the nail on the head with regards to his comments on the Rocklahoma crowds...that festival is for families who want to have a BBQ while the bands play. The crowds are fucking appaling

Well if that's the case Tate would have known what kind of crowd to expect and not have a go at them if they don't go ape shit after every song. With the poor standard of the last few albums they are lucky to be playing any shows at all.

So the story is true about the temper tantrum. Bummer I loved this band growing up. Well lets see if this goes anywhere and hopefully they can write godd tunes

Had a listen to La Torre doing "Queen Of The Reich", pretty impressive - i'd love to see them do a tour of purely 80s 'Ryche material...

According to Rockenfields daughter Queensryche is finished........her and Tates daughter were posting shit on facebook........heres a clip from Rising West last night,sound isn't great but yer man singing is very Tate like.
