Was thinking of picking up one of these to try something different. Anyone ever used them.
I reckon they would be great for clean sounds but would the extra stings feck things up when distorted. |

| From the looks of it, it's strung like you would a 12 string except not on the E and A string so i wouldnt imagine distortion would be too much of a problem. But like on a 12 string you will get chorus sounds when you play on the bottom strings. |

| Brent from Mastodon uses a couple of Custom 9 String First Act guitars, obviously very similar to the Bitch 10 string so you could check out some Live vids by them to get an ides of the sound you would get. Personally I think that huge chorusy sound is awesome when used in the sludgey prog metal, really suits it! |

Yeah and Matt Pike uses custom 9 strings for alot of the High on Fire stuff, Heres a link to a video lesson with Matt and he talks a bit about the guitar and tones, might be of some use to ye!
