Staying in Eindhoven is a bit of trek. Especially if your staying for the whole festival..

If there was cheap accomadition nearer tilburg, that would be problem solved. Eindhoven is only 22 mins by train at 6.50 E each way

Stayed in one of the jungalows the last time i went was 100 quid for the duration, was grand rented a bike to get in and out only 40 quid for 4 days and 20 mins cycle even when smashed. Hopefully will make it next year and do the same thing.

the bike came in handy as well for the trip to the coffee shops as well!

Haha, I didn't realise you'd rented a róthar Liam.

Must have been fun cycling out to the campsite in the dark with a head full of smoke. Good to hear it's do-able though.

Ah sorry, mistaken identity. I can imagine the park is a midnight obstacle course alright. I brought a torch last year and it was useful.

SIGH will play the Afterburner.

Quote:
Time to start gearing up for Roadburn 2013! After announcing festival headliners Godflesh and Electric Wizard at the outset of the 2012 festival, and we can now start unfolding the full line up as it falls into place. We are truly thrilled to be able to announce that maniacal power / prog / thrashers / black metallers Sigh will be playing Roadburn‘s Afterburner on Sunday, April 21, 2013 at the 013 venue in Tilburg, Holland.

Sigh have been shocking and confusing music fans since 1990, when they started their existence as one of the first black metal bands to ever come out of Japan. Their sound has been evolving ever since, first incorporating bizarre psychedelic elements and strangely juxtaposed song parts, then adding more styles and technical proficiency. On their latest record In Somniphobia from earlier this year, they offer up progressive power metal with supreme technical chops and a penchant for speed matched only by their ability to deliver the unexpected.

They are a perfect band for the Afterburner show because no matter how strange the bands are in the first three days of the festival, Sigh will offer up something unseen and unheard before.

Roadburn Festival 2013 will run for four days from Thursday, April 18th to Sunday, April 21st, 2013 (the traditional Afterburner event) at the 013 venue in Tilburg, Holland.

SIGH are class live, they were one of the stand out acts at Inferno a few years ago. Plus Mirai's bird is savage. seems completely insane, though that's usually the way with the hotness - sanity inverse correlation.

Jorgen Munkeby to me in 2010: "Doesn't all that doom drive you insane?"
Indeed, it did.
Awesome to have witnessed this song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ov2EAvgwvjg
with Munkeby on the sax.
And the Shining set itself.

Usually the last Saturday, isn't it?

Saw Ho13 confirmed on FB today, I always want to go to Roadburn, but am never organised enough to get my hole in gear. Have Tim and Mark now got some involvement with the HO13 live show?
