Not a hope of that being true unless they throw a good player in there |

Where did you spot £23m? Have seen everything from 25-27.5, or 30m... or 38 with extras. The Daily Mail is reporting £34m up front, though I can't imagine they're hugely reliable. I think that probably just suggests that nobody really has a fucking clue what the bid is right now.
EDIT: ah, you've just answered that one. |

The squad is poor on the whole and I foresee a struggle.

| If Van Perside stays fit then it's an unreal signing. Does anyone else think Modric is worth nowhere near 35 million. He's a good player but i wouldn't pay more than 20 million for him. |

Modric is worth every cent of 30-35 sterling IMO. He sets up so many plays and pulls the strings beautifully. |

Nice day to be a Fulham fan.
Yes, the season is one game old but I can't believe all the spastics writing us off because we're going to lose Dempsey.. Zamora was dead wood as was AJ and we've replaced them with Rodallega and Petric. Amazed they think that losing Dempsey is going to have us ending up 19th.
If we can keep Dembele and Diarra in the midfield we don't even NEED to replace Dempsey, he can just go and we will be fine so long as Ruiz can start to deliver a bit more.
5-0 Fulham and QPR getting beaten 5-0 for Swansea. Would take that every weekend. |

Alan Hansen is a cunt.
Honest to fucking Christ, if Fulham beat City 28-0 in a performance worthy of a Barcelona team who'd just railed 8 lines a of speed a piece before going onto the pitch he would find some reason to explain why we got lucky because the opposition decided not to show up that day.
Absolute Cunt. Fuck him, I hope he gets the badAIDS but only after watching his entire extended family contract and die from it first. Cunt. |

| In fairness though the Norwich defending was pretty poor, especially regarding holding a proper line. Credit to Fulham though, they were class, and Petric's assist for the fourth goal was class. I'm undecided as to how much they'll miss Dempsey, the other players might actually blossom in his absence, as you've alluded to, and perhaps there has been too much of a focus on him at times. Like RVN and Bryan Robson at Man United in the past and Stephen Gerrard at Liverpool at present. |

Hansen did have a point on the full backs buggering up the centre backs by always playing the forward onside. Norwich did this constantly.
But he never credits Fulham with anything.. EVER. The only analysis you ever get from him is one of the following four gems:
"They're fine."
"Won't get relegated."
"Mid Table,"
"Will be alright." |

| Decent enough game tonight, Longford should have been out of sight at half time though. Really hope they can catch Limerick. |

| You're right there. But usually none of the pundits have enough time to analyse any of the games between teams not in the top seven, to the detriment of the programme. I quite like Hansen's analysis of defending, I have learned a lot from it as both a coach and defender, but he can be a bit negative on everything else, if indeed he comments on anything else at all. |
