28-30 out here in Cork. Bloody marvelous. Have been down the river twice already to cool off. Grand time there, apart from the young feckers with their boombox blasting all kinds of shite (mostly JayZ or Slim Shady, I reckoned). Great stuff.

What's the rest of the country doing in this heatwave?

For me it's ideal time to ride my bike (back in central Europe I used to do it even when it was 35+ degrees and the tarmac was melting on the sun).

The only thing I hate is that I can't fully open the fucking window, whoever invented this would deserve to be impaled on a stake:

Cut it open with your knife Laughing

The tar is melting on the roads here in South Tipp and the cats are looking at me with a face that says "Can't you do something?". Deadly buzz.

Was actually home for a stag in Wexford on Saturday and got massively burnt on me forehead. Score! Better get it sorted before heading to Greece in 3 weeks... 38-40 in the midday sun.

Spending the day sitting on me hole at work staring out the window.
No air conditioning in here, just a big fan that's wafting the fart gases and sweat of fifty people around the place.

The sun can fuck off. Not able.

I hate the heat
I don't go on sunny holidays, I don't sit out when it is sunny.
The reason is pretty simple; complexion wise if I spend too much time getting the sun, I go lobster red and the few days after battling the feeling of being a walking radiator, I just get more freckles. I don't tan, I burn & freckle.

I'm simply not acclimatised to this level of heat. I was in the lab today, air con on. we can't crank it up to full blast due to regulations as to the lowest temp we can go for machines we use so our lowest is roughly 19degrees.
Today in the lab even with air con, it was 24degrees
In the corridor it was 25-27degrees
in the reception area before entering the corridor to get to any lab - it was 35degrees

I fuckin hate the heat!!!!!

Loving it meself. Though if it got any hotter, I'd probably be cooking inside my skin. Good thing I'm off to France for two weeks, aye? Cool
