Corr Mhona – ‘Dair’ Full Album Exclusive Stream

Metalireland is excited and proud to present ‘Dair’ – the gripping new album from Corr Mhóna.

This really is a CD that evokes another time and another world. It takes the atmospheres and timbres from some of black metal’s most influential and lasting bands, and blends them with a melancholy celticism all of its own.

This new album from Corr Mhóna harks to the legends – In The Woods, Ulver, Enslaved, Empyrium – there’s much to savour here for fans of the moors and misty fields alright.

So without further ado, on behalf of the band and indeed Metalireland, please do enjoy this splendid piece of work – then support them by buying the full Digipack with its sterling artwork over at their Bandcamp.

The band have also kindly offered the full lyric sheet so you can really immerse yourself in what they’re doing. Download it here:

And check out this beautiful piece of art that’s part of the full CD’s inlay:

Just to give you some idea of the size of those prints, included within the beautiful digipack:

We wish them all the best with this resplendent new album. They’ve put a lot of effort into making sure it’s a real, crafted piece of restrained and atmospheric celticism – and the results speak for themselves.

  1. Just working my way through the final song now and it stands out to me as the best (on first spin). Nice dark mood, its cold wintry atmospheres would work well on cold foggy walks. Overall it sounds great but there is a lot to take in so it will take a few spins to really let it get under my skin. I’ll send off for the CD tomorrow.

  2. Eoin McLove Says:

Also, bar the use of the Irish language it doesn’t sound Celtic at all which is alright by me 🙂 Very subtle.

  3. Connorputrefy Says:

Very well produced. Whilst not my thing, I can’t pronounce the band name, let alone the titles

  4. Eoin McLove Says:

    Pronounced something like ‘Core Vona’.

  5. Connorputrefy Says:

Cool cheers, looks hard to put down in text form, phonetically. Anyways, looks a right cool digipak, tidy looking pavkage

  6. I’m very taken with the atmospheres on here. I particularly like the bird call samples in ‘Dreolin’ – sort of reminds me of Empyrium, or ‘Nighttime Birds’ Gathering, if only in terms of mood. Really, really classy.

  7. Also guitar tone in ‘Dealg’ is pure 3rd & The Mortal off ‘Painting On Glass’. WIN.

  8. I liked the first CD and I’ve just listened to ‘Dall’ and enjoyed it. And while I’m not usually a huge fan of digipaks, that whole package looks very nice. I’ll be ordering this later today.

  9. Doomschmoker Says:

Does the feckin tune player up there not work on iPads? Doesn’t feckin work on this iPad anyway 🙁

  10. Lamhairgead Says:

Bandcamp is up and running now for those that would like to download or buy the digipack of Dair

    Beirigí Bua

  11. Review of Dair, Enjoy 🙂

  12. […] disclosure, Corr Mhona took out a stream on MI to promote this. As ever with MI, this has no effect on editorial […]
