Devouring Star – New Track

Metalireland first came across Devouring Star in January of this year. Their massive sounding black metal inspired Andy Cunningham to hear what they had to say in this interview.

At the time, their demo was an incredibly assured piece of crushing black metal. Well – their new material is here, and Metalireland’s got first dibs.

We present ‘Decayed Son Of Earth’ for you to enjoy. Devouring Star are clearly a band to watch if this one’s anything to go by. This is off the upcoming ‘Through Lung And Heart’.

No doubt Andy will be on the case when the full length is released, but this certainly bodes well in the mean time.

  1. The new stuff is utterly fucking ferocious. It reminds me, at least in terms of the production, of Slidhr’s ‘Deluge’. It is simply all consuming.

  2. Crikey! that’s a step up from the demo! any idea on a release date?

  3. Sounds pretty good. Wasn’t Sarlacc going to release the demo?Did it ever actually surface?

  4. resonant paddy Says:

Fuck me that savage. Reminds me of deathspell omega. I like.

  5. Sarlacc did release the tape.

  6. Jesus, how did I miss that..
